Frequently asked questions

How do I post an assignment?

Log in with your Hero Passport and click 'Post an assignment'. Fill in the title, description, location, hours and (optionally) the rate: within a few minutes your assignment is live on the marketplace. An account, posting and replying all cost nothing.

Is hero.direct really free?

Yes. Matching is free and stays free: no hidden fees, no margin on the match. Hero only earns something once you choose convenience afterwards, for example Handled by Hero for the contract, invoicing and the DBA check.

What does ‘Via Hero’ mean?

Every assignment carries a badge that shows who posted it: End client, Intermediary or Via Hero. 'Via Hero' means Hero itself posted the assignment on behalf of a client. That way you know upfront who you are making arrangements with.

How do I become visible as a professional?

Create a Hero Passport and set your profile to 'Available'. Your name, title, location and skills then appear on the professionals page, so clients can contact you directly. The match costs you nothing.
